WOMEN & YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
SUPPORTING THE MOST VULNERABLE
Around the world, women and young people continue to face steep barriers to participation in male-dominated workplaces and in civic life. Civic tech can play a powerful role in breaking these barriers — opening access to digital skills, expanding networks and mentorship, and creating pathways to educational and economic opportunity.

Tech for Change and our partners run women- and youth-focused internships, fellowships, and project-based learning programs. Participants gain hands-on experience with gov-tech projects, develop technical and leadership skills, and learn agile ways of working. They are supported through one-on-one mentorship, exposure to global speakers and role models, and opportunities to build connections that ease their transition into the digital workforce.

We also strengthen public education systems by engaging students, teachers, parents, and communities through digital platforms. These tools expand learning beyond the classroom, make school performance and policies more accessible, empower families to participate in decision-making, and equip young people to contribute to real civic tech solutions. Our goal is simple: to ensure equitable access to skills, information, and opportunities so women and youth can thrive.
